Terms of cooperation

Below you will find the basic rules of our cooperation, which help to make our meetings predictable, safe and beneficial for everyone involved. If you have any questions, I will gladly explain them in person or by e-mail.

Booking appointments

An appointment is reserved only after mutual agreement, ideally by phone or e-mail. It is advisable to arrange the first consultation well in advance so that I can prepare for the specific situation of your child and family.

Length of meetings

The length depends on the type and goal of our cooperation:

  • Initial consultation: 75–90 minutes
  • Therapy session with a child: 45 minutes
  • Family counselling / therapy: 60 minutes

Frequency of meetings

The frequency is always adapted to the current needs of the child and the family. Therapy sessions with a child usually take place 1–2 times a week. Family consultations or home visits are often arranged once every 14 days or as agreed. We regularly evaluate together which frequency is the most suitable at a given stage.

Length of cooperation

The length of therapeutic cooperation is individual. Counselling meetings with parents may be completed after 3–5 meetings, while therapy programmes usually run in cycles of approximately 10 sessions. After each cycle we evaluate progress together and agree on the next steps.

Cancellations and missed appointments

If you cannot attend an agreed appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. In case of later cancellation or failure to attend without notice, I reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee equal to the price of the reserved session.

In case of acute illness of the child or an unexpected event we will arrange an alternative date together. Thank you for your understanding — reserved time is valuable for me as well as for other families.

Presence of the child and parents

The presence of the child at the first meeting is very helpful, as it allows me to observe their reactions, skills and needs. Sometimes, however, a first consultation with parents only can also be beneficial, for example when the child is still very young or the parents first need to discuss the wider context. We will agree together on what works best.

Assessment report

Basic feedback is provided verbally during the meeting. A written report from an assessment or therapeutic evaluation is prepared on request for a fee of CZK 1,000. The report contains a brief summary of observations, recommendations and possible next steps.

Confidentiality and privacy

All information shared within our cooperation is confidential. I may break confidentiality only where the law requires reporting of imminent danger, or where I protect the life, health and fundamental rights of a child. More details can be found on the Privacy notice page.

Payment

Payment is made in cash at the place of the meeting or by bank transfer based on payment details sent in advance. An invoice is issued on request. The price of a consultation or therapy is agreed individually and confirmed before the first meeting.
